- Where the breach involves Social Security numbers, financial account information, or similarly sensitive data, we may, where appropriate or required by applicable law, offer affected individuals complimentary identity-monitoring or credit-monitoring services.
13. SMS / Text Messaging Communications
We use text messaging to send service-related and informational messages, such as appointment confirmations, technician arrival notifications, and follow-up communications after a service visit. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages without separate prior express written consent.
13.1 Messaging Channels
We may deliver text messages through multiple channels, including:
- Standard SMS/MMS delivered over major U.S. wireless carrier networks via our messaging platform provider (Twilio);
- Rich Communication Services (RCS) delivered to devices that support RCS where supported by the recipient’s carrier and device; and
- iMessage and other Apple-supported messaging delivered to compatible Apple devices, which may appear in the same conversation thread as SMS or RCS messages.
Depending on your device, carrier, operating system version, and account settings, you may receive our messages as SMS, MMS, RCS, or iMessage, and the channel used to deliver any particular message may change without notice (for example, when SMS fall-back occurs). The consent, opt-out, frequency, and hours-of-contact terms described in this section apply uniformly to all of our messaging channels regardless of the underlying delivery technology.
13.2 Terms Applicable to All Channels
- Consent: By providing your mobile telephone number to us — for example, when booking a service or providing contact information to a technician — you give us your prior express consent to receive text messages from us relating to that service, across any of the channels described above. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
- Opt-out: You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us, which stops further messages on that channel. To opt out of all channels at once, email info@blueboostai.com with your mobile number and the word “STOP”, and we will suppress your number across our messaging channels. After opting out, you may receive a one-time confirmation message and will not receive further messages from us except as required to confirm your opt-out. We use reasonable efforts to honor opt-out requests promptly.
- Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at info@blueboostai.com.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your service activity. You may receive multiple messages related to a single service visit (for example, a confirmation, an arrival notice, and a follow-up).
- Costs: Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless plan and the channel used to deliver the message. RCS and iMessage may use cellular data or Wi-Fi rather than your SMS plan; check with your wireless carrier for details.
- Supported carriers and devices: Available on major U.S. wireless carriers, on RCS-compatible devices and carriers, and on compatible Apple devices for iMessage. Carriers, device manufacturers, and platform operators are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Hours of contact: We send messages only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the recipient’s local time zone, except in connection with an active service appointment where you have requested or expected real-time updates.
- Consent records: We retain records of your messaging consent and opt-out activity for at least 5 years, regardless of which channel was used.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information sharing described in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
iMessage is a trademark of Apple Inc. BlueBoost is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.
